Now that the wedding season has calmed down and I find myself with plenty of free time thanks to this endless winter, I figured it was time to revisit some of this fall’s senior pictures that I never had the time to blog. Some of you may have already seen Rachel’s mini model shoot that I took last winter, however due to the fact that my fingers were about to fall off on account of the cold we were only able to grab a few images. This fall I had the privilege of getting to photograph Rachel a second time around Frederick, MD. To be honest, I have to say this was one of my all time favorite senior shoots because Rachel happens to be my sister (she’s number five in the list of six girls) and my mom got to be my “assistant” for the afternoon. I also had beautiful weather, a stunning sunset, and to top it all off I got a free dinner at Mistero’s out of it (thanks Mom!)
Just comparing this shoot to the one I did a year ago I’m amazed by how much Rachel has grown up in the previous year. She has certainly turned into a gorgeous young woman and has the most beautiful brown eyes and a stunning smile. She also has really grown in maturity this past year and I have been incredibly impressed with her musical talent. Almost every time I visit she has composed one or two new songs on the piano and while at first I told her her songs were good to be nice, now I can legitimately say her songs are good without having a guilty conscience 
Rachel also has discovered a love for math that I can never identify with. While she is still pursuing college and career options she is leaning towards becoming an actuary which is very ambitious for any high school senior. Whatever she chooses to do I’m sure she will be excellent at it and I’m proud to call her my sister 
For Rachel’s senior shoot, Rachel and my mom met me first at Carroll Creek, one of my favorite spots in downtown Frederick.

This mischievous expression is so Rachel.
After Carroll Creek we stopped at a deserted railroad track near my home to capture the beautiful fall light with the soybean fields in the background.

I love incorporating as much nature and background into my images as possible so when I saw this incredible sunset I knew we had to play around with it. With the help of my mom holding my flash and Rachel getting her “model” on, I think these next three images ended up looking spectacular .
I think these next two shots are so cute!
With the last remaining light of day we headed over to a nearby covered bridge where all of us girls have gotten our senior pictures. It was fun being the one taking the pictures this time!
Congratulations Rachel on finally becoming a senior! I know that with God’s guidance you will choose the right college and experience some of the best years of your life there. I love you!!
